poem #2 of nanowrimo - an excerpt

i have decided to share a few poems i wrote for nanowrimo (national novel writing month). this was my first attempt at any poetry, so please read with an open mind.

these cold fall days

have me filling up

on peach & honey tea

and

as i lift the cup 

to my lips

all i can think is

nothing tastes as sweet as you

- for you, my love
